So, it’s been quite some time since i’ve posted an actual blog, yes? I can’t believe how fast things have gone by. So, it’s time for a legit update, I guess…

So, things have been busy for me lately. Mostly cause of my new job, at Boeing. Wake up around 5am, work at 6:30 or 7:00. Off by three. It’s magical getting out at that time, you know? Things are going well there, save for a relative lack of work to do. Some days, i’ve nothing to do but surf the internet. Other days, like today, it is bloody busy, barely having the chance to sit down. On the plus side, the pay is nice. Well, better than nice. Fucking fantastic would be better.

In other news, i’ve been accepted to college. Just got done paying for the classes today. Still gotta pickup the books and shit, which is the expensive bit, and then i’m golden. Hopefully I can still work part time at Boeing, as I am only going to school for the morning classes. Cheaper that way, you know?

Well, it seems a little past due, but I hope to wish Mara a happy 2nd trimester. It’s good to know that she made it through the first three months without problem, and I hope that the next six go just as well. Grats again, Mara!

Is there anything that could possibly be better than being taught how to blow cigarette smoke rings by a british drag queen right after she rolls out of bed at the crack of noon?

So, been a while, yea? Hopefully I still have one or two faithful readers. That way it’d be one up from what I had before. Anyway, lots of shit happening.

Started my new job last Monday, at Boeing. Getting near as makes no difference Fifteen dollars an hour. My first check, for only four days, was a whopping 389 dollars. Oh yea. It’s quite fun, working there. Everything is so laid back. I wear jeans and a nice polo or button up, and i’m overdressed. Doesn’t matter what time I show up, as long as I actually work for eight hours. And that’s including a 45 minute lunch. Quite nice being on the computer all day and actually getting paid for it.

Second, I believe that i’m gonna take another road trip in the next few weeks, just ’cause. My last one was quite fun, and I think it’d be fun to do again before we run out of oil/gas gets too expensive/the hippies take over. Dunno where i’d go this time, but it was quite fun to drive around Lake Eufaula. Nice place, really. Anyway, I hope that it won’t cost me a small fortune, as gas is just hovering around 4$ a gallon. May just slow it down on the highway to about 65 or 70mph, as opposed to the 90mph I was normally doing last time.

In computer related news, I have royally fucked up my Macbook, software wise. It is now an “Ububook,” as I have dubbed it. See, I was trying to set up Ubuntu on a separate partition so i’d have a functioning OS X/Ubuntu dual boot. Well…. I kind of erased the wrong partition, and now only have Ubuntu installed. Oops. It’s not too bad. Only problems i’ve had with this install of Ubuntu is sound and webcam. Solved the webcam problem by buying a 10$ cheapo webcam from Target. Solved the sound problem by searching Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Dogpile, and a host of other sites to find a fix. Turns out that, by default, the sound is muted. Hehe. *sheepish look*

I do believe that, other than my How to Take a Shower post, this has been my longest blog post to date. Go me!
