The Temples of Syrinx

Good news! School is going well for me, which means I am going to be in a good mood… for the most part. Work is still shit, but considering that i’ve worked over 40 hours for the past few weeks, I should have a decent paycheck. Always look on the bright side of life, or some shit…

Foot ball season started few weeks ago, and I am already tired of it. Honestly, I could care more about a baboon’s ass than I could about football. Bunch of idiot fans, setting at home and self-medicating with a 30 pack of headache in a can, shouting at the screen and commenting on how “they could have done it better.” Right. If you could play football better than those bumbling, muscle bound idiots, you’d be the one out there getting paid millions of dollars to make a fool out of yourself.

In other news, the BBC news website (see what I did there?) has a neat little new thing going, called “The Box.” They have placed a GPS reciever into a large, red shipping container and are in the process of shipping it around the world, to track it’s location and to see “how the world’s shipping is handled, and to view the world’s economy.” Sounds quite cool, in all honestly. Currently, the box is in Southampton, awaiting its journey to China, to deliver a load of spirits to the working middle class (or so says BBC World News).

Well, thus we have come to the end of my post. In parting, I shall leave you with ACDC’s latest single, Rock ‘N Roll Train. Classic ACDC, for the modern person. ;)

Picked up the new Journey CD today, Revelations. It’s quite good, if I do say so myself. The first disc is made up of new material, and is traditional Journey. The second disc is composed of re-recorded Journey hits sung by the new lead singer, Arnel Pineda. Have a listen to the following songs, and see if you can spot the original and the remake.

Bet you couldn’t tell, could you? Well, the first one is the remake, and the second one is the original one, sung by the great Steve Perry.

In other news, I am going to give blood tomorrow, so I have to get a good night’s sleep.

Just got back from the REO Speedwagon concert tonight, and the show absolutely rocked. As an unfortuntant side effect, I can’t hear or talk very well, but it was well worth it. I’ll make a longer post later, but I wanted to get this in before I forget about it.
